Daniela Padrón


Daniela Padrón, Venezuelan-American violinist, started her musical development at the age of 3, in the Escuela Experimental de Música Manuel Alberto López in Caracas, Venezuela. The nonprofit organization Fundación Mozarteum awarded Ms. Padrón with a scholarship to further her studies under the renowned French violinist, Virginie Robillard. In 2005, she received her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, under the guidance of Maestros Jose Elias Zapata, Ma. Fernanda Montero, and Virginie Robillard.

In 2000 Daniela participated in Meadowmount School of Music Summer Academy, in the state of New York, where she had the opportunity to receive classes with the renowned Sally Thomas (The Julliard School). She received top prizes in the “Escuela de Música Olga López” Violin Competition and the Maurice Hasson National Violin Competition, in Venezuela in both 2001 and 2003.

Starting on 2009, she serves as the violinist of the acclaimed world music band “Gaêlica”, throughout their tour of the whole Americas, including the Colony Theatre in Miami (2009) and the World Music Festival in Panama (2012). Gaêlica was nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards 2013, in the Folk Album category. Ms. Padrón is also a regular guest violinist in live concerts and recording albums of renowned artists such as Willie Colón, Frank Quintero, César Muñoz, Kristhyan Benitez, Glenda del E and Masseratti 2lts, among others.

Daniela released her first solo album "Bach to Venezuela" in 2016, where she adapted some of the most well known masterpieces of Johann Sebastian Bach into different Venezuelan folk rhythms. Along with her mother, the renowned pianist Olga López, she released in 2018 "LATAM", a duet album (violin-piano) that features Latin American academic composers. In 2020 she released "+58", a compilation of pieces that features the cheerful, dynamic and unpredictable spirit of Venezuelan folk music. Her most recent production along Glenda Del E called "Ella", released on 2022 and features Latin American women composers.

Ms. Padrón has performed in Miami, Orlando, Tampa (FL), Atlanta (GA), Houston, Dallas (TX), Phoenix (AZ), Denver (CO), Anaheim (CA), Monterrey (Mexico), Panama City (Panama), Maracaibo, Barquisimeto, Mérida and Caracas (Venezuela). Some of the most prestigious stages she has appeared on includes: the Adrienne Arsht Center, New World Center, Miami Dade County Auditorium, Aventura Arts and Cultural Center, Maurice Gusman Hall, the James L. Knight Center, the Major League Baseball stadium “Marlins Park” (Miami, FL), McNichols Cultural Center, Elaine Wolf Theater (Denver, CO), Chandler Center for the Arts, Mesa Recital Hall, Arizona Latino Arts & Cultural Center (Phoenix, AZ), Centro Cultural Plaza Fátima (Monterrey, México), Ateneo de la Ciudad del Saber (Panama City, Panamá), Teresa Carreño Cultural Complex, Ateneo de Caracas (Caracas, Venezuela) and Lia Bermudez Arts Center (Maracaibo, Venezuela).

She has been under the baton of Maestros Gregory Carreño, Pablo Castellanos, Sergio Bernal, Oswaldo Pajares, Abiram Brizuela, Dr. Rufus Jones and Roberto Gianola. Her orchestral engagements includes Orquesta Filarmonica Nacional de Venezuela, Orquesta Sinfónica de Miranda, Orquesta Filarmónica Metropolitana de Anzoátegui, Orquesta Sinfónica de Maracaibo and the Miami Music Project Leaders Orchestra.

Since she moved with her husband to Miami, Florida in August 2012, Ms. Padrón has worked as a teaching artist at the Miami Music Project, an institution that uses music as an instrument for social transformation. Daniela is a proud Orchestra Conductor for one of the Miami Music Project’s children orchestras. She also runs her private studio with local and international students.

Ms. Padrón holds both, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Universidad Metropolitana - Caracas, Venezuela 2009) and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance (Escuela Experimental de Música Manuel Alberto López - Caracas, Venezuela 2005).
